Gypsy Moth

The Gypsy Moth has been in America for over 40 years. It started in Massachusetts and has worked its way to the Midwest. The gypsy moth is known to feed on on the foliage of hundreds of species of plants in North America but its most common hosts are oaks and aspen. Millions of acres of hardwood forests and millions of landscape trees have been destroyed. Northern Indiana is currently the battlefield for Gypsy Moth population expansion.
