Emerald Ash Borer:

 

The first Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) was spotted in Ohio in 2003.  Now, the pests are killing trees in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Ontario, with spot outbreaks due to infested nursery trees in Maryland and Virginia.   Ash trees infested with EAB typically die within 3-5 years.  Unfortunately, destroying Ash trees within the insects natural spread is the only way of eradicating EAB within an infested area.  See more information below:
